It all began in 2002 with the purchase of our Genesee Street location. The potential not only in this location but the whole area was seen by our founder & president, Frank Elias.
In 2005, a roaster was moved into this building with a goal to start sourcing and roasting the world’s highest quality coffee. This was transformed over time into a busy and bustling cafe with the vision of partner, Heather Elias.

Made from 100% of the finest, hand-selected Arabica coffee and then decaffeinated using a chemical-free Mountain Water Process. While some roasters use beans that have been decaffeinated using chemical solvents, we here at Utica Coffee Roasting Co. believe that life is too short to drink chemically processed coffee.
Roasted in small batches, in Utica, New York, to ensure you get the freshest coffee that money can buy. Chemical and solvent free. Decaffeinated using the Mountain Water Process Features a re-closable bag so that you can keep your coffee fresh for longer.

Too often we see people intimidated by complex tasting notes, overly-complicated menus, and a lack of personal interaction. Every product we put out, the message we respond to, and the pot of coffee we brew are done so with our customers’ preferences in mind.
Everything Starts With Coffee
All of our decaf selections are medium roasted, organic, mountain water processed coffees. Using a Mexico Organic decaffeinated coffee as the base for all of them, they are roasted in small batches to ensure quality in each cup.

We as an organization saw potential in our area and wanted to create a business that was a just representation of Utica itself, as we grow our community becomes larger than just our physical community.
